Central Coast Wedding Venue: Cambria Pines Lodge

A Central Coast Wedding Professionals featured Wedding at Cambria Pines Lodge

  • Bride & Groom: Michelle and Chris
  • Wedding Date: July 27, 2012
  • “Behind the Scenes” with Wedding Coordinator Taffy Gonzalez of All Traditions: This playful couple chose to have a steel drum band serenade their guests at their beach ceremony. The groom was so relaxed before the ceremony (we’d like to think we had something to do with that), that he borrowed a fisherman’s gear and fished for a bride! After the beach ceremony, the guests were invited to a beautiful ballroom setting where the beach theme was carried through with beachy linens provided by All Traditions and a shell themed cake.
  • About Cambria Pines Lodge: Outdoor areas are available for the ceremony, and several different options are available for both indoor or outdoor receptions.  The Gazebo Garden is a world-class location for groups of 50 to 250 guests. A stepping-stone aisle provides a unique pathway through the grass to the charming white Gazebo, while colorful flowers abound in the flowerbeds surrounding the lawn. During afternoon events, guests sit at tables scattered around the lawn, with market umbrellas providing shade from the midday sun. A bandstand shelters musicians or a DJ.   Evening weddings begin with a ceremony at the Gazebo and continue with a reception in the Peacock Room, which can seat up to 250 guests with a dance floor in place. Twinkle lights adorn the silk ficus trees as well as the room’s perimeter, and lights can be dimmed to create the perfect romantic atmosphere for the wedding reception of your dreams.   A more intimate outdoor wedding location is the White Garden, a traditional Victorian garden with white-flowering plants and shrubs, which provides seating for a maximum of 40 guests. A beautiful white wooden arbor sits atop a rock platform, making a picture-perfect spot for ceremonies. The Sycamore Room and Treetop Room are ideal indoor locations for receptions following White Garden weddings.

After the wedding, the couple sent the most thoughtful “thank you” letter to the CCWP Dream Team and I’d love to share it with you-

I just wanted to write a quick ‘Thank You’ before we leave tomorrow!  Each one of you played a huge role in making our wedding so special!  It really was amazing!  We had such a fun time and everything from the flowers to the cake to the beach to the ballroom looked wonderful! I really couldn’t have done it without you guys!  I cannot say thank you enough!!  It was so perfect!!

Special thanks to Taffy (All Traditions) for running it all, I didn’t worry or stress once!  And Melissa (Fitzpatrick Studios) for having to deal with so many of us, we can be difficult, while taking fabulous pictures!  To Andy for an amazing ceremony speech and GREAT music all night!  Denise (Flowers by Denise), the flowers were soooooo perfect and exactly what I envisioned!  Kim (Kim and Company), the hair and make-up was exceptional and we got so many compliments!  Lance for such a fun photo booth and for what I’m sure will be an amazing video!  And finally to Rebecca for getting the room ready and helping Taffy, like I said it truly looked spectacular!

People were saying it was, “The BEST wedding ever!!”"  Thank you again!  I will recommend each and every one of you!   Love, Chris and Michelle Scaduto

Central Coast Wedding Venues: Officer’s Club at Camp San Luis
POSTED ON February 6th, 2012 By Taffy Gonzalez

If classic elegance fascinates you, why not bring that passion to your wedding day? There are a handful of fabulous Central Coast wedding venues that will make your dream a reality. If you are seeking a truly vintage-themed venue, you will want to check out the historic Officer’s Club at Camp San Luis. The Officer’s Club was built in 1928 and will allow you to plan the vintage wedding of your dreams.

Camp San Luis also has a quaint chapel on the property so that you can hold your ceremony at the same location if you’d like to add a more traditional piece to your special day. Photography opportunities abound, from the 1950′s’ and 1960′s historic airplanes that are on-site to the beautiful oak trees throughout the historic property. Make the day fun and unique by

having guests arrive by trolley or maybe you can park some vintage cars in front for a great photo op. You can really have some fun by inviting your guests to arrive in vintage costumes which will set the scene for your special day.

As with many Central Coast wedding venues, there is so much that you can do when planning a wedding at the Camp San Luis Officer’s Club. Step inside and discover the “fireplace room” which greets you at the entrance. This area can accommodate up to 125 people and it is perfect for welcoming your guests, serving appetizers or displaying photos. The Officer’s Club boasts a newly remodeled commercial kitchen, bar service, tables and chairs. The ballroom alone can accommodate up to 350 people and there is room for an additional 300 guests outdoors. Another perk of having a

wedding at Camp San Luis is that all of the basics including restrooms, tables and chairs are covered. This means that you can focus your energy on adding your unique vintage touch. You can use themed-vintage linens and china or turn the bar into a speakeasy. A vintage wedding is elegant and the Officer’s Club makes it affordable.

Happy planning! -Taffy

Central Coast Wedding Venues: Rustic Chic Weddings
POSTED ON January 24th, 2012 – CCWP Blog By Taffy Gonzalez

The Central Coast abounds with picturesque wineries and charming barns, perfect for your rustic chic wedding! Some brides are a bit intimidated to choose a venue of this nature because they are not “inclusive”. As the owner of All Traditions, I have planned weddings at a multitude of unique Central Coast wedding venues…one such wedding was at a cattle range! You can do it and a professional wedding coordinator can help! An experienced wedding coordinator can easily arrange for everything from nice portable restrooms to chairs and even lounge furniture. If your dream is to have a wedding with a more “green” or organic feel, let’s make your wedding dreams come true!

Everyone has their own unique story and your wedding can be equally unique. How fun would it be to have a bon fire that was complimented by a s‘mores station for your guests to enjoy? If “having your cake and eating it too” doesn’t quite appeal to you, why not make your cake out of cheese instead? Dare to be non-traditional. The advantage of using a non-inclusive venue means it’s not already all done for you, so you can add your own special touches such as chandeliers, colorful linens, vintage china…let’s work together to make it you…and make it funky!

Enjoy these photos from some of my Central Coast weddings where we had a little rustic fun.
